Great Value Items
Some generic items just don’t stand up to their name-brand counterparts. That’s not the case with many Great Value items at Walmart.
We regularly purchase items like peanut butter, chocolate chips, and coffee creamer. Not only do some of them come in larger portions, but they’re usually at least 20 to 25 percent cheaper than the name-brand counterpart.
Do you like to cut down clutter in your home? It’s best to opt for storage containers at Walmart.
They’re often cheaper than Costco and don’t require you to purchase multiple containers.
Equate is the other Walmart house brand. We often opt for Equate items to save money as they are often of similar quality as name-brand options.
Cotton swabs and shampoo are two items we purchase as they are nearly 50 percent less than the name-brand.
Cereals and Snacks
Snacks and cereals can be incredibly expensive, especially over the past several years. If you like name brand cereals and snacks, you can typically save at least ten percent versus other stores.
Trader Joe’s isn’t the only retailer to find cheap wine. Walmart is another terrific choice.
Through their Winemaker’s Selection, you can find various bottles for $5 or less.
We typically avoid fresh produce at Walmart. However, frozen produce can be just as good.
