After you read my aimless thoughts, make sure to check my Reader Profile at My Personal Finance Journey: Reader Profile: John From Frugal Rules.
I hope that everyone had a great week! You know what could make your week even better? Winning some serious cash! You still have time to enter one of the two giveaways Frugal Rules is co-hosting where you could win either $500 or $999.99.
It has been a really good week for Frugal Rules as I hit my first multiple 2,500 and 3,000 page view days! As it seems, there were a lot of people looking for Valentine gift ideas and that was driving a lot of people my way. It may be small peanuts to some, but I was pretty stoked to hit that number. We have some fun planned this weekend as Mrs. Frugal Rules and I are going out tonight to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We have a Groupon to a local winery we’re going to use and do some wine tasting. Mind you, I’ve never been wine tasting in Napa Valley, but I am still pretty excited about it as I have never been wine tasting and have discovered recently that I like wine quite a bit. Is anyone else going out this weekend to celebrate Valentine’s Day a little late?
It was another great week for Frugal Rules in the blogosphere. Thank you to everyone who gave me a shout out or included me in their Carnival. If you see some blogs you don’t notice, I encourage you to check some of them out as you’ll find some great material. Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Thanks for the mention, John! We’ll be doing some ice skating on the large pond out back, I imagine.
. Have a great time at the wine tasting – it sounds fun!

Not a problem Laurie! Sounds like a fun weekend. Our middle child came down with a nasty cold yesterday, so we’ll see if the wine tasting sticks.
Good idea on the Valentines day dinner. We ended up not going out Wednesday night as my wife didn’t feel well but plan on going out tomorrow night, We’re in Miami right now to work out some estate planning issues for my parents but are going to slip away to Key Largo tomorrow night, We’ll have dinner there at a nice restaurant we know, and go for a few dives Monday morning,

We always hate fighting the crowds Jose, plus many restaurants up their prices for that night only. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Can’t say as that we’ll be diving though as it’s 15 degrees here right now.
Thanks as always for the shout out! 3,000 pageviews…congrats to you! That’s called great content, my friend!! Have a great weekend…

Not a problem Tony! Thanks, it was pretty neat to see. However, the site has returned to earth, which was a bummer, but was expected as so much of it was search traffic.
Wow that’s amazing! No, that isn’t small peanuts. If it is, my site is REALLY lame! lol!

Thanks Tonya! As I told Tony, the site has returned to earth. It’s a bummer, but I expected it as so much of the traffic was search related due to my two Valentine’s posts. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
And, no, you’re NOT lame!
Wow, those are some awesome stats! Good for you

Thanks for the mention John, those are some awesome numbers to be seeing in one day. I’m not near those kind of numbers yet but I hope their soon enough.
Chris @ Stumble Forward recently posted..Weekly Mentions – FINCON13 Announced For October
Not a problem Chris. It was pretty nice to see those numbers for most of last week, but with V day being over most of the traffic is gone, but it was fun while is lasted.
It doesn’t sound like peanuts to me John, great work! Hope you’re having a good weekend.
