Welcome back to another Shout Out Saturday! It’s been another great week and one in which the weather is in that stage where it can’t decide if it’s winter or spring. We saw 50 degree days this week, only to be followed by calls for snow this weekend. Tonight is also the night that most of us get to turn our clocks ahead by one hour. The “loss” of one hour of sleep is well worth the extra daylight in my opinion. It means that very shortly we’ll be able to start working in the garden and going to the farmers market on the weekends. It also means the kids will be able to spend more time outside and use up all of their energy from being cooped up during the cold winter months. Since Mrs. Frugal Rules and I work inside most days that’ll be a welcome change and might possibly make it a little quieter in the house.
It was another great week for Frugal Rules in the blogosphere last week. Thank you to everyone who gave me a shout out or who included me in their blog Carnival. If I missed anyone, please let me know and I’ll be sure to add you. If you did not catch it in my Frugal Friday post yesterday, make sure to come back on Monday as I’ll be hosting a giveaway to celebrate Frugal Rules’ six-month blogiversary! Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Thanks for including my post John. I can’t wait for spring either. I have a lot of stuff in the basement that needs to be removed plus I’d like to start jogging when it warms up.

Not a problem Justin. We’re the same way. We have a bunch of stuff in the house/garage that needs to be cleaned out and sold on Craigslist.
Thanks for the mention! Spring is on it’s way and I’m hoping we don’t get a March winter storm to put a damper on things. My mind has turned towards spring activities, prepping the garden and “starting” up the pond and waterfall water feature we put in. Can’t wait!

Not a problem Jose! I am thinking the same thing myself as they’re calling for a mix of snow/freezing rain here in a few days.
Time to get the hands dirty, body all sweaty and crack open the cold beers!!! Bring it on, I’m done with the snow. Have a good weekend mate.

I feel the same way Mr. CBB! Though, I just read that we’re under a winter weather advisory until tomorrow night….just nuts! You have a good one as well sir.
A lot of great posts in this shout out – I especially liked “Profit From Your Passion: It’s Not Always Possible”. I found it very interesting and refreshingly honest. The truth can hurt but it’s better if you don’t waste your time!

I would agree. Honesty is not always what we want to hear, but I’d much rather know that than to be deluded.
Always appreciate the mention John. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and I am excited about the upcoming spring season.

Not a problem Grayson. I was looking forward as well, that is until we got snow and freezing rain overnight.
Thanks for the mention, John! 50 degrees – I’m SO jealous!!! Although we did hit 41 yesterday up here, so I guess I can’t complain. The giant piles of snow are slowing starting to melt away, and our peppers are growing ever so slowly indoors here. Have a great day, John!

Not a problem Laurie. We did have 50, but then got snow and freezing rain overnight…crazy weather. We need to get started on our peppers too.
Thank you for the mention.
