Shout Out Saturday #46

shout out

Happy Saturday friends! I don’t know how the weather has been where you’re at, but we’ve been colder than all get out here in Omaha. Thankfully it looks like we’re in for a bit of a warm snap this weekend. They were calling for temperatures around -5 this weekend and thankfully that has now been changed to 20 degrees or so. I may love cold weather but this is a bit early for me. I mean it’s not even winter yet!

Ok, enough complaining. If you didn’t look at the calendar this week, we only have about three weeks left in the year. That means one thing in my house…getting ready for taxes! I had let a number of blogging related things go by the wayside this year and got to deal with that this week, which meant hours pouring over my PayPal account. Thankfully that’s done and learned my lesson for next year – keep track of everything when it happens! That said, I finally finished up my Christmas shopping this week and am SOOO glad to have that done as I’m usually done by Thanksgiving each year.

Well, that’s about it. I hope you’re staying warm wherever you’re at and done with your Christmas shopping. Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Thanks to everyone who gave Frugal Rules a shout out or included us in a blog carnival last week. It’s much appreciated!

Seems like hubby has been working on taxes all year….and he has. We’ve sold 4 properties this year and he updates all the information and paperwork each time we sell. Poor guy, but at least he enjoys it. Did I mention he is a retired accountant? Good luck with your own taxes. Hopefully you – and we – will have a little change left over afterwards. I think that is what all that “hope and change” was about.

I couldn’t imagine keeping track of taxes on selling property, though glad he enjoys it! I hope we both have a little left over this year as well. 🙂

  • Hey John and thanks for the round up!

Thankfully I don’t need to deal with taxes until the end of April so I can enjoy the holidays without worry 🙂 Plus, the good thing about not making much money is that I get back a fair bit and I usually only have to pay back a little.

Oh…and it’s very cold here in Montreal, Canada as well, so hope you keep warm.

Take care and all the best.

    • John says:

Yea, I’m not too worried. It’s just the headache of putting all the stuff together for taxes that’s no fun. Though, good for you for getting a good bit back.

Hope you stay warm there in Montreal, it’s pretty cold here in Omaha.

  • I just got back from my California vacation and it is snowing in NYC 🙁 I’m supposed to be running, but I think that’s going to have to wait.
