Shout Out Saturday #17

Cool Dog

Happy Saturday party people! It’s been another wild and busy week in the Frugal Rules home. Thankfully, though, it seems like we FINALLY have Spring weather as it has been in the 70’s nearly every day this week! That means our heater can finally take a break and we can have the windows open. I shared last week that we were going to be going to the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting. It was a blast as usual, though we did not get to attend as much of it as I would’ve liked this year. If you would like a thorough and quality review of the events then I encourage you to check out Mr.1500’s post on his time here in my fair town (rumor has it he’ll be breaking It up into several posts.) We did take advantage of one part of “Berkshire weekend” and bought a new mattress for ourselves as well as for one of the kids. Berkshire Hathaway owns one of the furniture (and that’s using the term loosely as they sell nearly everything) stores here in Omaha, along with satellite stores in Dallas and Kansas City. They’re one of the biggest furnishing stores in the country and always offer very nice discounts on items during Berkshire weekend. We had needed a new mattress for several months but waited specifically for last weekend so we could get an even better deal.

It was another great week for Frugal Rules in the blogosphere. Thank you to everyone who gave me a shout out or included me in their blog carnivals. Have a great weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there!
