Welcome to another Frugal Friday edition here at Frugal Rules! Thankfully this week has been much better in terms of getting over that bug I had last week but, unfortunately, I managed to pass it on to my dear wife. I hate being sick, but I hate seeing Mrs. Frugal Rules getting sick even more. This is a big weekend for our family as we celebrate our youngest, JP, turning one year old. It is hard to believe as it just seems like yesterday that we brought him home and now he’s getting a mouth full of teeth and is very close to taking his first steps. Life just goes by way too fast it seems…the moral is, enjoy life! As I am writing this, on Tuesday evening, they’re calling for a pretty big snow storm in my neck of the woods along with some pretty strong winds. We’ll see if the weathermen are right and we actually get some snow. The last snow was not good for snowman making, and I know that our daughter is eagerly hoping that she can make a good one this time. On a completely unrelated note, make sure to come back next week as we’ll have several posts on getting the right Valentine’s Day gift for both the man and woman in your life, as well as several VERY nice giveaways!
It has been another great week in the blogosphere. There were a lot of great blog posts to read this week and was not at a loss to have some to select from. If you have some time this weekend, or don’t plan on watching The Super Bowl, then I encourage you to read some of these awesome blog posts.

What an adorably cute little one! Aren’t they such a blessing? We’ll be spending the weekend playing (Rick has his first weekend off in a month!) and then hunkering down with friends to watch the Big Game and have some frugally fantastic food. Enjoy your weekend, John!

Thanks for mentioning our guest post for Mr.CBB John, I really appreciate it! I got a shock this morning when I saw the 1st of Feb on the calendar, can’t beleive how quick the days go. I’ll be drinking plenty of coffee on Sunday night to stay up for the Superbowl! My wife keeps telling me to record it but it’s not the same as watching it live, I’ve watched it live every year since I was about 14 and I don’t plan on changing now. Have a great weekend.

Not a problem Adam! I feel the same way, it was just Christmas yesterday. I agree that it’s not the same as watching it live, though we record it as well.

We plan on watching the Super Bowl with one of our friends (a couple). I don’t like watching it in big groups because you can never actually watch the game, so I’ve decided to avoid those this year and do something I’d prefer.

That’s exciting you’re seeing some chicks being born!
